The vibrant city of Bucharest is set to host the eagerly anticipated VPT Bucharest 2024, a seven-day poker extravaganza that promises to be bigger and better than ever. Running from Monday, February 26, to Sunday, March 3, this year’s edition boasts a remarkable €200,000 in guaranteed prizes, a substantial increase from the previous year’s guaranteed total.
Event Schedule:

The tournament lineup features a total of eight events, with a strategic focus on medium buy-in tournaments to cater to a diverse range of poker enthusiasts. The centerpiece of the VPT Bucharest 2024 is undoubtedly the Main Event, offering an enticing €125,000 guarantee with a buy-in of €350.
The Main Event kicks off with a generous 60,000 starting points and offers players the flexibility of choosing from four Day 1s, each with 40-minute blinds—except for the Day 1D Fast, featuring 20-minute blinds. Registration remains open during the 12 levels played on each initial day. A noteworthy addition to this year’s Main Event is the “Power Buy-in” format during Day 2, allowing players to buy their entry for €1,100 (three times the starting entry) and receive a substantial 200,000 points—equivalent to just over three starting stacks. Day 2 registration is open for the first three levels, with 45-minute blinds.
Those who successfully advance on Saturday will converge on the Final Day on Sunday, where they will vie for significant prizes and the coveted trophy.
Warm Up and High Roller Thrills:
In addition to the Main Event, two standout tournaments on the calendar are the Warm Up and the High Roller. The Warm Up, opening the festival with a buy-in of €175 and a €15,000 guarantee, spans two initial days with a Final Day on Wednesday, February 28. The High Roller, boasting a buy-in of €700 and a €30,000 guarantee, is a two-day tournament scheduled for the weekend following the Main Event.
A special treat awaits poker enthusiasts on Thursday, February 29, with two engaging tournaments—a Chinese Poker (OFC) event with a buy-in of €250 and a Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) tournament for €400. This day promises a thrilling experience for the daring players, with an electric atmosphere anticipated at the 888 Poker Room in Bucharest.

Tuesdays and Fridays will host the more affordable tournaments of the festival, featuring a buy-in of €100 and a guaranteed prize pool of €5,000 for both the Deepstack and Monsterstack events.
Closing the VPT Bucharest 2024 is the €350 The Saver KO Progressive (€150 KO) tournament, a one-day event that guarantees a total prize pool of €10,000. It promises to be a fun and action-packed conclusion to a week filled with thrilling poker moments.
Poker enthusiasts and professionals alike are eagerly anticipating the VPT Bucharest 2024, where skill, strategy, and a bit of luck will converge for an unforgettable poker experience in the heart of Bucharest.
