Isaac Haxton has once again won an expensive tournament, adding his fourth title since the beginning of the year to his collection. This time, he conquered the $25,000 US Poker Open event, which featured some of the best poker players. The prize pool amounted to $1,350,000.
The tournament attracted 54 registrations. wterwere filled with such poker pros as Dan Smith, Alex Foxen, Phil Hellmuth, and Daniel Negreanu. Despite the small field, the event was held in a two-day format.
Returning to the final table, Isaac held the second position in the chip count, but quickly accumulated a stack and had a 7-1 advantage in the heads-up against Joey Weissman. Several lost hands could not stop Isaac on his way to victory. In the final hand, the opponents both had a flush: Joey showed 10-8 of spades, but Haxton revealed Ace-Jack of spades and secured another trophy.
The first-place prize was $432,000, and the championship trophy became the fourth trophy for him this year.
In addition to his first-place finishes, Isaac Haxton maintains the lead in final table appearances in offline tournaments with 10, and his total winnings for the first three months of 2023 have exceeded $5.1 million. This has allowed Haxton to improve his position in the All Time Money List, where he now holds the 15th spot among the most profitable players of all time, with total live tournament earnings of $35,049,216.
Isaac has no plans to slow down and has every chance of adding more trophies to his collection. This year will see two more Triton Poker series, the WSOP and WSOP Europe, as well as a couple of stops on the PokerGO Tour.
