Bubble Protection Explained

Bubble Protection is an exclusive feature offered to players who are part of a special promotion. It’s designed to offer compensation to the unfortunate player who gets eliminated just outside the paid positions in a poker tournament, commonly referred to as the “bubble”.

Example: If there were 400 players on Day 1A and only 60 of them advance to Day 2, a player eliminated in the 61st position will get his buy-in back with the Bubble Protection feature.

Eligibility:

  1. Only players who registered on the PokerHopper.com website by March 27th are eligible.
  2. One player can use Bubble Protection feature only for 1 buy-in in BOM main event.
  3. The names of these players have already been compiled into a designated players list.
  4. The Bubble Protection feature is entirely FREE for players listed in this promotion.

How to activate Bubble Protection:

  1. Register for one of the DAY1 BOM main events.
  2. Approach the PokerHopper booth to validate your participation in the Bubble Protection promotion.
  3. You will need to show your ticket for the Main Event.
  4. Collect a special PokerHopper.com patch.
  5. It’s essential to affix this patch in a visible location on your clothing.
  6. You must confirm your participation and obtain your patch before the late registration period ends for the specific DAY 1 event where you want Bubble Protection.

Usage & Restrictions:

  1. Each registered player can activate their Bubble Protection only once.
  2. Players decide the specific DAY1 Main Event in which they wish to use their protection.
  3. If a player ends up being the last one eliminated before DAY2 (In The Money or ITM), he can approach the PokerHopper.com booth to claim compensation equivalent to one BOM main event buy-in.

Claiming Compensation:

To claim the compensation, a player must:

  1. Have pre-registered on the PokerHopper.com website for Bubble Protection by March 27th.
  2. Have the PokerHopper.com patch visibly displayed.
  3. Provide identification for verification at Pokerhopper booth.

If you were unfortunately eliminated just outside of the money and Bubble Protection was triggered for your buy-in, please visit our booth at the event venue to collect your buy-in refund. Our team will be available for assistance until 10th April.

Kindly ensure you bring the necessary identification and your ticket for the Main Event when you come to collect your buy-in refund. Unfortunately, any claims made after 10th April will not be entertained.

All information regarding the last eliminated player before DAY2 will be cross-referenced with tournament organizer data.
